Congressional Affairs: Rep. Levin to Replace Rangel as Chair of Ways and Means

Also on Thursday, after Rep. Charles Rangel (D- NY) resigned his Chairmanship due a an ethics committee finding that he violated House gift rules, Rep. Sander Levin (D-MI) took the role of Chairman.  Within the Committee, Representative Levin served as Chair of the Trade Subcommittee.  Levin will hold the position until the end of the year; at that time, House Democrats will determine a permanent Chairman.
